Mahesh babu and Venkatesh Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is among the most awaited films of the year. For the first time in several years, two of the biggest stars in Telugu are teaming up for a film and ever since it was announced, a flurry of new multi-starrers have been announced. It’s been three months since the shooting of Seethama Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu began and already Mahesh Babu seems to have found enough reasons to believe that it’s going to be a milestone in his career. Srikanth Addala is directing the film and Dil Raju is producing it.The film also stars Prakashraj Samantha and Anjali in lead roles. Mickey J Meyer has composed the music. Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is expected to hit the screens for Dusshera later this year.
Putting an end to rumors, producer Dil Raju stated that Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) has no similarities with Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gum (K3G). SVSC has Venky and Mahesh babu playing as brothers while Prakashraj done the role of father. And the movie is all about bonding between these two brothers and the father. So this led to speculation that the film might be based on K3G - which is also about bonding between two brothers and their relationship with father. He also confirmed that Trisha and Anushka rejected the offer to play opposite Venkatesh and finally Anjali is doing it now. The reason for Trisha and Anushka turning down the offer is they were not comfortable playing Venkatesh's wife's role as it would mean they are vadina (sister-in-law) to Mahesh Babu.
